Brian is a hard blog act to follow…but figured it was time for me to jump back in the fray. It is amazing to be home and able to spend time with Desmond. Th toughest part of all this is my inability to pick him up. But I’m trying real hard to follow doctor’s orders.
Today I’m pretty worn out. I feel sore and exhausted, but I have a quiet day ahead of me and it’s sunny outside! My marvelous friend, Erin, is here to play nursemaid. I’ll make sure to order her around a lot. And my friend, Victoria, dropped off Mac n cheese and salad last night, so i’ll be well fed today.
It’s brian’s birthday today. He HATES celebrating his birthday so he’s probably secretly happy that my surgery came this week. last year we forgot it entirely since we had a 6 day old baby. But next year he better be prepared for celebrations.
I’ve read all your texts, emails and posts and I truly can not express in words how much it all means to me. Your thoughts and prayers and good vibes are making me feel invincible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
